My father was a Policeman in Leeds at the time based at Millgarth Police station.
He told me there was so many screaming girls outside the Odeon in Leeds that they had to take the Beatles hidden in the back of the Police van to the Odeon and get them in through the back door to get them into the venue. My dad was the van driver.
My dad couldn't understand what all the fuss was about.
Being an ex soldier from the second world his view was, ' They'd do better getting their hair cut and getting a proper job'
Eventually he realise the world had changed Ha Ha !
