I am a lifelong journalist and Beatles fan. I am 74 years old and have seen Mr. McCartney two times in concert. Because of spinal surgery recovery and a lack of the funds needed to pay for a ticket, I was unable to see his show in Nashville recently.
I also am an enthusiast of the city of Liverpool. Spent a week there a couple of years ago, and we will be going back when I feel I am able to handle the flights and the walking.
As a journalist, I have written about The Beatles, and indeed did lengthy cover pieces on the Wings recording sessions in Nashville. I also had done a big piece on Ringo's Beaucoups of Blues sessions.
I am asking two things: I would love to speak to Mr. McCartney about this new album. I also wonder if there are any backstage passes or press tickets for the events in California or other upcoming appearances. My daughter lives in LA, so I would love to fly out to see my grandchildren and then go to the theater to see and write about Paul. I have one other thought: I do love Liverpool. Would there be a possibility of meeting there and talking about the memories, perhaps for a book by Paul, with me writing and co-crediting? I know this is pie in the sky stuff, but as the recent Wings book is evidence, Paul is not averse to the idea of chasing dreams. Thank you for your time.
