The Prison” is an instrumental track written by Martin O’Donnell, Michael Salvatori and Paul McCartney for the soundtrack of the video game “Destiny“. It is part of a music suite, named “Music Of The Spheres“, which was released in 2018 as “The Music Of Destiny Volume 1“, six years after its recording.

Martin O’Donnell demoed “The Prison” to McCartney when he met him on February 8, 2012:

This was the meeting (just me) where I played [Paul] work-in-progress on a piece from Music of the Spheres (The Prison) incorporating his ideas, and he also told me he was working on a song for Destiny.

I’d rather have it just be that people listen to the whole they can sort of make up their own minds about what they think is Paul and what is Mike and what is me, and if they figure it out I’ll tell give them a prize but I don’t think they will.
