About

In January 1997, four months before the official release of “Flaming Pie“, Capitol Records put out a 6-track sampler tape distributed only to a small number of Capitol executives. A 3-track sampler tape was created out of it, limited to 30 copies distributed to some Capitol Records executives.

Some of the tracks available on those tapes featured different mixes than on the album. For instance, the version of “Beautiful Night” doesn’t have the orchestral overdubs which were to be added in February 1997.
