AlbumSome of the songs worked on during this session were first released on the "Let It Be (50th anniversary boxset - SHM - Japanese edition)" Official album

This was the third of four days The Beatles spent at Olympic Sound Studios. During the first two days, they worked on “Something” and “You Never Give Me Your Money”, two tracks later released on the “Abbey Road” album.

For this third day, from 8 pm to 7:30 am, they returned to the “Get Back” LP project to resume mixing work that had begun in March. Engineer Glyn Johns aimed to retain elements of studio atmosphere by including snippets of studio chatter on some of the tracks. The main focus of this session was to incorporate fragments of speech and songs. It is also believed that the current state of the “Get Back” LP was mixed in stereo during this session.

A playback of the material was held at the end of the session, from 6:30 am to 7:30 am.

Work on the Get Back project would continue on May 9.

About Glyn Johns’ “Get Back” compilations

A few months after the end of the “Get Back” sessions, engineer/producer Glyn Johns was given the task of compiling an actual album. Glyn made four different variants of the album, two of them having been considered for release at some point.

If we modestly consider the Paul McCartney Project to be the premier online resource for all things Paul McCartney, it is undeniable that The Beatles Bible stands as the definitive online site dedicated to the Beatles. While there is some overlap in content between the two sites, they differ significantly in their approach.
