About
This was the third day of work on “Dear Prudence” at Trident Studios. The Beatles were still a trio, as Ringo Starr had temporarily left the group on August 22.
During this short session to the Beatles’ standard (from 5 pm to 11 pm), the latest overdubs were recorded. Paul McCartney added piano over the end portion of the song, and a brief snippet of flugelhorn. George Harrison added another guitar part.
Both mono and stereo mixes of “Dear Prudence” would be made two months after, on October 13.
