Some of the songs worked on during this session were first released on the "Band On The Run - Archive Collection" Official album.
Over five consecutive days in late August 1974, Wings was filmed at Abbey Road Studios for a documentary. “One Hand Clapping,” directed by David Litchfield, showcased the band working together and Paul’s musical talent. It featured performances of several tracks from “Band on the Run,” along with other familiar and unreleased songs, including some Beatles tracks.
On the second day of the “One Hand Clapping” sessions, eight tracks were taped. All tracks but “Soily” were officially released on the “Band On The Run – Archive Collection” in 2010 or on the “One Hand Clapping” album in 2024.
The takes of “Soily” recorded on this day were deemed unsatisfactory, and the track was re-recorded on October 9, 1974.
