AlbumSome of the songs worked on during this session were first released on the "Help! (UK - Mono)" LP

Some of the songs from this session also appear on:

This was the final studio session for the “Help!” album, dedicated to mixing the tracks recorded during the previous few days. The morning session, from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm, was devoted to mono mixes, while the afternoon session, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm, was used to create the stereo mixes.

  • I’ve Just Seen A Face” had been recorded on June 14, 1965. On this day, both Remix Mono 1 (RM1) and Remix Stereo 1 (RS1) were created from Take 6. These became the released mono and stereo versions of the song.
  • I’m Down” had also been recorded on June 14. On this day, both Remix Mono 1 (RM1) and Remix Stereo 1 (RS1) were created from Take 7. The mono mix became the released version. The stereo mix was never released. A new stereo mix was created in 1976 for the compilation album “Rock ‘n’ Roll Music“.
  • Yesterday” had also been recorded on June 14, with the string quartet overdub added on June 17. Its mono mix had already been created on June 17. On this day, Remix Stereo 1 (RS1) was created from Take 2 and became the released stereo version of the song.
  • It’s Only Love” had been recorded on June 15. On this day, both Remix Mono 1 (RM1) and Remix Stereo 1 (RS1) were created from Take 6. These became the released mono and stereo versions of the song.
  • Act Naturally” had been recorded on June 17. On this day, both Remix Mono 1 (RM1) and Remix Stereo 1 (RS1) were created from Take 13. These became the released mono and stereo versions of the song.
  • Wait” had also been recorded on June 17. On this day, Remix Mono 1 (RM1) was created but no stereo mix was attempted. The track was ultimately left off the “Help!” album and shelved until November 1965, when additional overdubs were recorded for its inclusion on the “Rubber Soul” album.
  • Help!” had been recorded on April 13, with additional overdubs added over the following days. The released mono mix had been created on April 18. On this day, however, another mono mix, Remix Mono 4 (RM4), was created from Take 12 but remained unreleased. Remix Stereo 2 (RS2) was also created from Take 12 and became the released stereo version of the song.

On this day, as well, Paul McCartney turned 23, and The Beatles were interviewed by the BBC World Service.
