About

On this day, Wings performed the third show of the “Wings Over Europe” summer tour, in Arles, in the South of France.

The ticket cost was 20 French Francs. The show started at 9 pm.

No recordings of this concert are known to exist.

The next date of the tour was supposed to be in Lyon, on July 14, as per the tour’s initial schedule, but this date didn’t happen. Instead, they would travel to Paris for two performances on July 16.

Wow... Fast forward fifty years...
I not only attended this show, but also recorded it on a cassette...
I shared the contents on the "Easytree.org" tracker on ..2004-11-17, then stumbled again on it several years later on "dimeadozen.org" as "Easytree.org" was renamed on 2009-01-24. This time the show was announced as a rip of CD issued by "Strawberry Records"...
Glad to part of the history...
All the best from a frog eater in Dead-Waters, the big walled city, bottom left corner of the French Delta (yep, we've got ours ..!).
