Have you ever wanted to meet all the McCartneys at once, perhaps at a really fun party (completely understandable – they’re all so talented it’s silly)? Well, you would have been in heaven at Mary McCartney’s launch for her new photography cookbook Food, in Liberty. Sir Paul was there with his wife Nancy (he couldn’t stop saying how proud he was of Mary), James breezed in looking terribly dapper and Stella arrived with her husband Alasdhair Willis. Everyone sipped fruity Zacapa rum cocktails while nibbling asparagus tarts and flicking through Mary’s book (the photos really make you want to eat quite a lot). After trays of lemon drizzle cake were circulated (it was Linda McCartney’s recipe and absolutely delicious), copies of Food were distributed, and guests left harbouring Nigella-style ambitions and vowing to use their kitchens an awful lot more.
