“Wings: The Story of a Band on the Run” book published

On February 26, 2025, Paul McCartney announced a new book about his band Wings, titled “Wings: The Story of a Band on the Run.“ It was published on this day, November 4, 2025. Edited by Ted Widmer, who also provides an introduction, the 528-page book was published by Penguin in the UK and W.W. Norton in the U.S. It featured over 100 black-and-white and color photographs, offering an in-depth look at Wings’ journey.

A limited deluxe edition of the book was issued on November 25.

Suddenly Wings has found its moment. We have a generational shift at work, and it’s like being transported back on a magic carpet. Working on the book has awakened so many beautiful memories of our times back then.
