The previous day, The Beatles and their entourage had a day off in Milan following their first two Italian concerts on June 24. On the morning of June 25, they travelled by road to Genoa, where they performed two concerts at the 25,000-seat Palazzo dello Sport. The first began at 4 p.m. and the second at 9 p.m. Peppino di Capri, Fausto Leali, Angela Tarenzi, New Dada, and Guidone were the opening acts. As in Milan, many seats remained empty.
The evening concert attracted only around 10,000 fans.
Immediately after the concert, The Beatles boarded a chartered flight to Rome, where they were performed two concerts the following day.
