Paul McCartney spent most of 2010 touring. The new “Up And Coming” Tour started on March 28, 2010, and continued till November 22, 2010. Several special concerts were added in the schedule, not part of the tour itself, like the benefit concert for the Old Vic in July, and in December, a date at the Harlem Apollo Theatre, a lunch-time concert at the 100 Club in London, a date at the London Apollo and a date at the Academy, Liverpool to close the year.

In June, Paul McCartney was at the White House in Washington, to receive the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song by US president Barack Obama… and perform a few songs live, of course. He also managed to get back to Washington in December, to receive a Kennedy Centre Honour.

In November, his landmark album “Band On The Run” was re-released, marking the first release in the so-called “Paul McCartney Archive Collection“, an effort to remaster and reissue his solo and Wings catalogue with deluxe packaging and rare tracks from the vault.

2010 saw him starting new projects which would be released in the coming years – his collection of old standards “Kisses On The Bottom” and the ballet “Ocean’s Kingdom“.
