On March 17, 2026, Paul McCartney announced two intimate concerts at The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, a venue with a capacity of 1,200, scheduled for March 27 and March 28. The announcement echoed the three shows Paul and his band had performed at The Bowery in New York in February 2025, another small-capacity venue.
On March 26 — the day before the first concert — Paul announced his new album “The Boys Of Dungeon Lane“. Surprisingly, Paul did not perform any songs from the new album during the concerts, not even “Days We Left Behind“, the first single released the previous day alongside the album announcement.
We came, we saw, we rocked! Thank you Los Angeles for two amazing nights!

I wanted to ask about these small theatre shows you’ve been doing, whether at the Fonda in Los Angeles or the Bowery in New York, in addition to the stadium shows. Why is that still important to you at this point in your life?
Most people will play to a large audience, as I do, too, but mainly people want to record it on their phones, so you’re looking at a load of phones out there. When you do something like the Fonda gig, there’s no phones. We have the Yonder pouches, and it’s completely different. It’s a real buzz. It takes you back to your origins. You always used to be able to see the people up close, and you used to be able to interact with them. It definitely lifts the buzz of the concert.
It reminds you, I imagine, of the core of this idea: I am playing songs with a rock band for a room packed with people.
That’s the point! We all feel it in the band. The audience feels it. Anyone that we talk to after it – we often have a lot of guests – will just say, “Well, it’s incredible! It’s just completely different!” They’re actually listening to you. They’re listening to the music. They’re reacting instead of recording. It’s definitely more of a thrill to do it that way.

From Flood Magazine on Instagram, March 30, 2026:
The Fonda Theatre has hosted its share of historic performances over the past century — from its early days as a vaudeville house in the 1920s to gigs by Radiohead and Nine Inch Nails, to The Rolling Stones’ landmark Sticky Fingers show in 2015 — but you’d be hard-pressed to match the electricity that overtook the room this past weekend for two underplay nights with Paul McCartney. On the
heels of announcing his forthcoming album The Boys of Dungeon Lane, Sir Paul spent much of both evenings looking back, delivering marathon sets packed with Beatles and Wings classics.[…] Saturday night also brought out an absurd number of celebrities. Amid a balcony stacked with A-list pop stars and Oscar winners, the biggest arrival was Ringo Starr, who waved to and hyped the roaring crowd. While most of the celebrity contingent held court upstairs, Seal made his way into the audience, beaming as he sang along to “Hey Jude” and “Let It Be” with a cluster of strangers — everyone locked into the same communal high in this phone-free zone.
Above, fans couldn’t help but glance up as Taylor Swift and the HAIM sisters shouted along, Margot Robbie grooved wildly, and Odessa A’zion danced her heart out flanked by Reneé Rapp and Towa Bird. Also spotted: Stevie Nicks, Janelle Monåe, Sabrina Carpenter, Steve Carell, Billie Eilish, Al Pacino, Harrison Ford, Olivia Rodrigo, and many more — turning the balcony into something resembling the Oscars’ front row.
