In 2002 I bought Paul McCartney tickets from a commercial scalping agency. Day of. Two hours before showtime. On a Sunday. I sat in the parking lot in front of his office and read his telephone number off the sign in front of the building. I saw him pick up the phone inside. I said "today is Paul McCartney, whaddaya got." He said "I got fourth row, I'll give them to you for half face value." "I'll be right there." I walked in before he hung up the phone. That year Paul had a 30 minute Cirque du Soleil style pre-show and it was awesome. Face value was $150 per, so I got the two of them for that. Houston, Texas, the former Compaq Center.
