The origin of this song is not known to us, but Doug Sulpy, in his book “Drugs, Divorce and a Slipping Image – The Complete, Unauthorized Story of The Beatles’ ‘Get Back’ Sessions“, indicates it is reputedly a song by The Dubliners, an Irish folk band created in 1962.
