About
From paulmccartney-fanclub.blogspot.com), translated from Spanish, May 12, 2011:
A cocktail of emotions, memories and music: this was Paul McCartney’s concert last night at the National Stadium in Santiago, Chile, expected for eighteen long years by all those for whom the songs of the Beatles and McCartney solo are an important part of their lives. “Paulmania” began at dawn when the former Beatle arrived in town and exploded at 9 pm when Paul and his band, and on British punctuality, took to the stage in the roar of the audience, 53,000 people of all ages, from children to grandparents. A McCartney with a “Beatlesiana” jacket and in great form, who opened the concert with “Hello Goodbye” and greeted the Chileans with a “Hello Chile, hello guys. How are you? Thank you, it’s nice to be here again.“
Paul McCartney is, as usual, a pure show. He was able to support the concert for more than three hours without ever stopping and with incredible and enviable enthusiasm, alternating with the instruments, from the bass to the electric guitar, from the piano to the ukulele … and then his voice… Inimitable… Every note brings with it thousands of stories; many weep for emotion… and it’s beautiful. What more could be asked of him? Nothing. All fans know that every concert of his is memorable. He has nothing to prove… to anyone, it’s Paul McCartney, it’s the history of music.

From For Whom The Bell Tells, July 8, 2011:
Thrilling fans who had flocked from across Chile for the event, Paul played a rocking set that lasted nearly three hours and had many in tears – particularly when the man himself addressed the crowds in their native Spanish. Fans and media even camped out overnight outside the hotel afterwards hoping for a glimpse of Paul – with one group of fans even storming the lobby in the early hours singing Macca’s hits at the top of their voices! Didn’t get much sleep that night!
