About

I think Sao Paulo, 65,000 people the first show was amazing the Brazilian people love their music and so we love to play to them and it was a standout show. It was one of our top shows ever, and it was just brilliant, the audience was bananas and we have a great evening.

Paul McCartney – From paulmccartney.com, December 18, 2010

From whiplash.net, translated from Portuguese, November 22, 2010:

With Morumbi packed, punctually at 9:30 pm – and we should thank the British for this wonderful culture of not delaying the shows, especially when it falls in the middle of Sunday – enters the stage the (super-competent) band that accompanies the main star of the night. And behold, he appears, in front of approximately 65,000 privileged, PAUL MCCARTNEY, with a smile on his face that was able to pluck screams and cry… much crying! The introduction couldn’t be better, with “Venus and Mars/Rock Show”, followed by Jet. To think that Paul has almost 70 years on his back and still sings all the songs in his original tone, makes us think that of the two one: either the guy takes care of himself as hell, or he made a pact with some entity from beyond. The energy he transmits, the animation, the stage presence is something out of the series. […]

PAUL communicated all the time with the audience between one song and another and did very well on Portuguese, clearly and countless times saying how happy he was to be playing for us once again. The musical versatility he has is something impressive. Playing the piano, guitar, bass, ukelelê as if it were the easiest thing in the world, decidedly it is for the few. […] And it wasn’t just PAUL who gave a show. His drummer also showed a lot of stage presence on “Dance Tonight”. Throughout the music the cameras were facing him, who made funny dances and drew laughter from everyone. […]
